Hikari's thoughts...
The angel was seen walking through the garden in the darkest of night. The moon that hun in the sky was a half moon..and thats how she felt; half empty. Silver eyes glowed dimly in the night, stars the only company at that time, as well as teh moon. She didnt even bring Yin-Chin with her, the ferret staying at home fast asleep. She just wanted time alone..alone with her thoughts.
Slowly she made her way to a bench and sat down, looking at her hands. Tehy were cold, trembling and she rubbed them. Alone with her thoughts, the best and yet worse situation to be in. That all changed though for when she looked up she was found a young man standing in front of her. She gasped, almost wanting to scream but his hand gently touched her cheeck and she calmed down, eyes closed softly. She spoke up after a moment of silence, all her pain going away.
"Pharoah..."
He calmed her soul and mind with his touch, taking away all of her pain. She was still confsued, troubled on the conversation that happened earlier in the night. Like any good leader he sensed this in this person, one of his own and he sat down next to her, taking her in his arms and comforting her.
"Hikari.." He said softly, his deep voice soothing her mind. Hearing her name caused tears to stream down her cheeck. He held her tighter, making her feel that she was the only person that was on his mind right now; and this was true. He couldnt have any of his people sad.
"Hikari. What she says...she says out of anger and pain."
"But..." she tried to talk but couldnt, body wracked with sobs once again.
The pharoah put a finger to her lips to silence her.
"Hikari, what she says is true. You do treat her second best, like she is not as important as she was to you. But tell me.... hasnt she been doing teh same? She did this to you long before."
Hikari looked up at him, blinking, listening to his words.
"You do it not because you dont care..but because you learned. I've been watching you two. Thigns have not been going so well..and its because your Yami has been gone, doing her own things that she says its for your benefit..the benefit of teh relationship when shes actually doing her own thing. She comes and goes when she pleases and everytime she does you get hurt. So you move your mind to better things, things that are more important. Dont you agree?
"You do not hate Yami, I can sense this. You love Yami more than everything. But lately you have been questioning if Yami feels the same. That is not how love is supposed to be. And so Hikari, The question is not Do you still care.... but its Has she ever cared..?"
Hikari was silent and then slowl yshe closed her eyes, thinking about his words. It was true, she has been backing away from the thoughts of her soulmate but.... that was long after Yami kept coming and going. the thoughts in her mind which were once jumbled started to come clear like a tangle that was starting to come undone. She looked back up to her loving and wise pharoah, teh one that has actually been there to help her with her most difficult problems.
But he was gone, leaving as quietly and quickly as he came.
